What is ORCID iD
ORCID iD is a unique and persistent identifier for researchers—an ID number that can help make your scholarship easier to find and attribute so that you get credit for all that you do.  ORCID uniquely and persistently identifies you and your published work throughout your career, even if you change your name, publish under different variations of your name, move institutions, or switch fields. Through integration in key research workflows such as manuscript and grant submission, ORCID supports automated linkages between you and your professional activities ensuring that your work is recognized.

Academic Social media is an increasingly important to the academic as a tool for promoting research work. Researchers can use it to profile their work, exchange ideas and results, and to meet like-minded peers. Linkedin

Linkedin is a social network for professionals in which people can create a profile, connect with peers, and network. Researcher can list your publications and other research outputs, experiences, skills and current and past positions. It is great if you are looking for exposure in broader communities, including industry, business or government.

Mendeley

Mendeley is a free reference manager and academic social network that can help you organize your research, collaborate with others online, and discover the latest research

Kudos is a platform dedicated to dissemination across the multiple networks and channels available to researchers for sharing information about the research work.
