How many books can I borrow at one time?


 It depends on your category of membership. See Loan Eligiblity



How do I borrow book from the library?


You can check out books from the Self-Check machine or at the Circulation Counter. You will need your student  card/ID to borrow the book.



How long can I keep borrowed book from the library?

Can I renew my book online?


Yes, you can renew online



How many times may I renew a book?


2 renewals, provided no other user has placed a reservation

How do I check the due date of my loans?


You can check the due date of your loans in your library account via on Loan item. Click here to check the due date.



Can I borrow books from other UniKL's libraries?


Yes, you may borrow books from any one of the UniKL's libraries using a valid Student ID. Please proceed to the Circulation Counter for further   information.



What are the responsibilities of the borrowers?


All borrowers are responsible to the book charged out using their ID. Book charged to an individual must be returned in good condition



What happens if I lose an item that I have borrowed?


When you report an item missing or lost, we will start a search in the Library for it. If it is not found after 3 days  we will inform you of the replacement costs which includes the cost of the item, an fines owing on the item and a   processing fee of RM20.00. Once you have paid the replacement costs, we will clear your record.

Can I just replace the lost item?


  • You can only replace a book in print with: Another book that is new or as new in condition.

  • A book of the same edition, not an earlier edition.

  • A book by the same publisher.

What are the fines for late returns?


You will be fined RM 0.20 per day.



How do I pay my library fines?


You can pay the fine at the Circulation Counter



Will unpaid fines keep me from graduating?


Students are expected to clear all their outstanding payments at the end of each semester. Students who have unpaid fines upon their graduation will be referred to Finance  and  Academic Division
